Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Before booking a trip with Alaska Kosher Expeditions, please carefully review the policies outlined below.

We strive to keep our policies fair to both our guests and our small business. We operate in some of the world’s most remote and demanding environments. Our trips are intentionally small, our operating season is short, and each guest space represents a rare opportunity.

The closer a cancellation occurs to the trip start date, the more difficult it becomes to fill that spot. This is why we strongly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance.

Reservation Policy

  • All prices listed are per person, based on double occupancy (see Roommate Policy below).


  • A 25% non-refundable deposit per person is required to reserve your spot.


  • The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the trip start date.


  • Reservations made within 60 days of departure require full payment at time of booking.


  • We strongly recommend Trip Cancellation & Interruption insurance through Ripcord or Travel Guard.


Trip Cancellations — Please Read Carefully

If We Cancel

Alaska Kosher Expeditions reserves the right to cancel a trip due to internal reasons, including but not limited to:

  • Insufficient guest numbers


  • Staff injury or illness


  • Loss or damage of essential equipment


If we cancel for internal reasons, you will receive a full refund of all payments made to Alaska Kosher Expeditions. Refunds are limited to the amount paid directly to us.

If “Acts of God” Cancel

In the event that your trip must be cancelled or delayed due to force majeure (including but not limited to):

  • Severe weather or flight disruptions


  • Fire, flood, or natural disaster


  • Volcanic activity


  • Pandemic or public health emergencies


  • Government travel restrictions or advisories


Alaska Kosher Expeditions and partner operators are not obligated to provide refunds or alternative travel services. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance.

If You Cancel

  • More than 60 days before departure:

    Deposit is refundable minus a $500 per person administrative fee,

    OR you may transfer the full deposit to a future trip valid through September 20, 2026.


  • 60 to 45 days before departure:

    No cash refund issued,

    OR you may retain 75% of all payments as trip credit toward a future trip valid through September 20, 2027 (subject to price changes).


  • 45 days or less before departure:

    No refunds of any payments.


Itinerary Changes or Delays

Once a trip has begun, Alaska Kosher Expeditions reserves the right to modify the itinerary as necessary.

Weather, safety, or logistical factors may cause delays, route changes, or early termination of a trip. In these cases:

  • No refunds will be issued


  • Alaska Kosher Expeditions is not responsible for additional expenses such as:


    • Airline changes


    • Hotel nights


    • Rental cars


    • Meals outside the itinerary


Itinerary Adjustments

The sample itineraries displayed on our website and trip pages are intended to represent the style, flow, and level of adventure of each trip. Due to the remote nature of Alaska, limited availability of partner service providers, weather conditions, and logistics, the exact sequence of activities or specific service providers may change.

If adjustments are required:

  • Guests will be notified as early as possible


  • We will maintain the same overall experience level


  • We will ensure the trip remains of equal or greater value to what was originally advertised


Changes are made only when necessary to ensure safety, operational success, and the best possible guest experience.


Roommate Policy

  • Trip pricing is based on double occupancy lodging.


  • We will attempt to match solo travelers with a roommate where possible.


  • Guests requesting a private room will be charged a single supplement fee before their final balance is due.


  • Due to limited availability, private rooms cannot always be guaranteed.


If you book within 60 days of departure, the single supplement must be paid at the time of booking unless a roommate is available.

If a roommate is later found, the supplement will be refunded.
