Itinerary:
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your Anchorage accommodations and a welcome briefing to go over the exciting days ahead. In the afternoon, stretch your legs along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, take a bike ride with ocean views, or enjoy a gentle hike to Flattop or Eklutna Lake. After exploring, we’ll drive to Wasilla/Palmer, where you’ll check into our lodging for your first evening.
Today, we head toward the Matanuska Glacier, a 20,000-year-old river of ice slowly moving through the mountains. On the way, you can choose to zipline over the wilderness or ride horseback across scenic alpine meadows. In the afternoon, its time to experience trekking across the glacier, or upgrade to ride in syle a helicopter for a stunning aerial view. After a full day of adventure, we return to Palmer.
We head north to Talkeetna, a quirky and historic town nestled at the base of the Alaska Range. In the afternoon, we board a flightseeing tour with Talkeetna Air Taxi for truly breathtaking views of Denali — the tallest mountain in North America and, by topographic prominence, the tallest in the world.
This isn’t just any flight tour. It’s the king of all flights: an endless sea of jagged peaks, massive glaciers, and vertical relief unlike anything most people will ever witness. Many say you can’t get closer to the throne of G-d anywhere on Earth — other than in Jerusalem — and once you’re up there, it’s hard to disagree.
After landing, we’ll stop by a local reindeer farm for a fun, close-up wildlife encounter before settling in for the night in Talkeetna.
Today we explore Hatcher Pass, where you can try panning for gold or hike to a peaceful alpine lake. In the afternoon, we’ll take a guided boat tour to the Knik Glacier, seeing its striking blue ice up close. After a full day of exploration, we return to Wasilla/Palmer for the evening.
After breakfast, we drive to Whittier along the scenic coastline. Spend the afternoon either kayaking through sheltered waters, keeping an eye out for seals, birds, and whales, or enjoy a glacier cruise to see towering ice formations. In the evening, we head to Girdwood for an overnight stay.
On the final day, ride the Alyeska Tram for sweeping mountain views, or visit the Wildlife Conservation Center to see moose, bears, and other Alaskan animals. In the afternoon, we return to Anchorage, completing six days of adventure and unforgettable Alaskan experiences.

The Alaska Factor — Wild, Unscripted, Real
Alaska doesn’t follow a script — and neither do we.
While this six-day expedition is carefully planned to show you the very best of glaciers, coastlines, and mountains, real travel in Alaska rarely unfolds exactly as written. Weather changes, wildlife sightings surprise us, and each day can bring new opportunities and challenges. Our guides adjust routes, timing, and activities as needed to keep your group safe, comfortable, and making the most of every moment.
These unpredictable elements — what we call “The Alaska Factor” — are part of what makes your journey memorable, exciting, and uniquely Alaskan.
Travel in Alaska is shaped by terrain, weather, and service provider availability. Flexibility is more than recommended — it’s part of the experience. Come prepared to embrace change, adventure, and the magic of Alaska as it happens.
